Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Substance Use Disorder Professional to join our team. This role is pivotal in providing support and treatment to individuals struggling with substance use disorders. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in behavioral health and mental health counseling, with a focus on delivering high-quality care through various therapeutic modalities. Duties Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine the appropriate level of care and treatment plans. Provide individual and group counseling sessions utilizing techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention. Develop and implement treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, including addiction counseling and PTSD care. Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and recovery strategies among participants. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including intake forms, progress notes, and treatment summaries in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care for patients, including case management and coordination of services. Engage in research activities to stay updated on best practices in addiction medicine and behavioral health. Provide home and community care as needed, ensuring that patients receive support in their natural environments. Utilize medical terminology effectively when communicating with other healthcare providers regarding patient care. Provide crisis interventions and de-escalation techniques Qualifications Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate Degree may be considered LCDC II or higher preferred; CDCA may be considered Proven experience in psychotherapy, crisis management, and behavioral therapy is essential. Strong skills in patient assessment and case management are necessary for effective treatment delivery.• Ability to engage patients through effective communication skills while maintaining professionalism at all times.
