Job Description

Company Overview The Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for youth by fostering a diverse, inclusive environment that promotes growth, development, and leadership. We are committed to providing enriching programs that help young people realize their full potential. Overview Camp Counselors are responsible for creating a safe, fun, and engaging environment for youth participating in camp programs. They lead daily activities, support positive behavior, and serve as role models while ensuring the well-being of all campers. Responsibilities Supervise and actively engage with a group of campers throughout the day Plan and lead age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, sports, and group projects Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times Build positive relationships with campers and encourage participation and inclusion Support behavior management using positive reinforcement and clear expectations Assist with daily routines, including transitions, meals, and cleanup Communicate effectively with fellow staff and leadership Maintain a clean, organized, and safe program space Follow all camp policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Qualifications Experience working with children (camp, school, childcare, or similar setting preferred) Ability to work in a team environment Energetic, patient, and dependable Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable; willingness to obtain if not already certified Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of children and staff Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for working with youth and fostering their growth in a fun environment Join us as a Camp Counselor and help create unforgettable summer memories while empowering young minds!
