Job Overview Join us as a Summer Camp Counselor and ignite the spirit of adventure, learning, and fun for children! In this vibrant role, you'll create a safe, engaging environment where young campers can explore new activities, develop important skills, and build lasting friendships. Your energy and enthusiasm will inspire campers to discover their potential while ensuring their well-being through attentive supervision, creative programming, and positive guidance. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the summer months while fostering growth in children through dynamic activities and compassionate support. Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor adventures Ensure the safety of all campers by maintaining vigilant classroom management and behavior management strategies Assist with planning and executing daily schedules that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and fun learning experiences Provide first aid when necessary, adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures Support children with special needs or behavioral challenges by applying inclusive teaching techniques and child development best practices Foster a positive camp environment through Christian counseling principles or other values-based approaches as appropriate Collaborate with fellow counselors to create an inclusive, energetic atmosphere that encourages teamwork and respect among campers Experience Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, babysitting, tutoring, or camp programs is highly preferred Knowledge of classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies to handle diverse age groups effectively Certification in first aid and CPR is desirable to ensure safety during all activities Background in early childhood education or childhood development enhances your ability to support young learners' growth Experience in sports coaching, theater arts, or working with students can add valuable skills to your role Familiarity with special education needs or working with children with disabilities is a plus for creating an inclusive environment Join us this summer to inspire young minds through energetic leadership, compassionate guidance, and memorable experiences!
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
