Job Description
Camp W.E.S.T. "Where Everyone Shines Together" . Camp West serves children ages 5-12 (Monday through Friday) from June 2024 to August 2024. Activities are filled with the perfect blend of Education, Sports, and Fun!
Programming is focused around:
Nature, Art, Technology, Sports and Recreation. Activities enable campers to develop and apply problem-solving skills, gain exposure to the arts, build teamwork skills, create friendships, practice using technology, experience the natural world, and so much more. Summer Camp Counselors Camp W.E.S.T. is seeking experienced and creative individuals to lead groups of school age campers and implement fun filled and engaging activities that are both educational and recreational. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Must have at least a High School Diploma or equivalent with some college preferred. Must have experience working with youth and be excited to engage youth. Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification. Must exhibit the ability to communicate effectively, display positive classroom management techniques and interact with varied age levels. Lead and assist with the teaching of activities. Develop and deliver activities that are appropriate for the ages and abilities of the campers. Run organized and engaging classes and activities. Incorporate diverse activities into lessons. Know how to de-escalate situations amongst campers. Experienced with positive behavior management. Ensure that camp staff and campers know and follow safety and program procedures. Assist in the management and care of the physical facilities and equipment. Documented experience in area of specialization or documented training and experience. Must exhibit the ability to communicate effectively, display positive classroom management techniques and interact with varied age levels. Assist in the direction, supervision, and organization of campers within activities and throughout the camp in order to meet the intended camper outcomes. Participate in the development and implementation of program activities for campers within the mission and outcomes. Maintain high standards of health and safety in all activities for campers and staff. Are a positive role model and exhibit excellent attitudes and behaviors.Job Types:
