Sandy Hill Camp and Retreat Center in North East, Maryland is hiring for summer 2026. Spend your summer on 211 waterfront acres mentoring campers ages 8-16, teaching skills you're passionate about, and building leadership experience that lasts a lifetime. We're hiring for the following positions: Cabin Counselors (residential) — live with campers and teach classes based on your skills and interests (creative arts, sports, ropes course, boating, sailing, and more) Sailing Instructors (residential or day only) — teach campers on Laser Picos and American 14.6 sailboats. Must be able to pass lifeguard course offered on-site at no charge. Speedboat Drivers (residential or day only) — drive ski boats for waterskiing, tubing, and banana boating. Must be able to pass lifeguard course offered on-site at no charge.

What We're Looking For:

A genuine love of working with children and teenagers Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude Must be 18+ (or 17+ high school graduate); lifeguard positions open to ages 16+ Things to know: Residential staff live on-site from Sunday evening through Friday afternoon with most weekends off. Room and board are provided. Day positions available for local candidates in waterfront roles. Most staff work early June through mid-August .
