Summer Camp Employee

Schedule/Hours:

M-F/ 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

Position Type:

Seasonal Full-Time, 40 hrs/wk

Pay Range:

$14.00 - 15.00 This position is responsible for: Plans and provides activities and childcare services for children participating in the Summer Day Camp Program; plans, develops, and facilitates recreational activities and play time; prepares and maintains program records; maintains cleanliness and orderliness of Corps property.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides leadership and constant care for the needs of the children in an efficient, clean, loving, safe, secure, and healthy manner. Facilitates activities for school age children; ensures that activities are age appropriate, stimulating, fun and safe for the children. Determines appropriate supplies and materials for recreational activities; ensures the children's safety in utilizing the same. Prepares and serves children snacks and meals; ensures that children receive nutritional and tasteful food; provides positive, relaxed atmosphere during children mealtime encouraging conversation. Assists in facilitating and supervising summer Day Camp Program.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language. Ability to observe children and ensure their safety. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in an indoor and outdoor recreational environment where there may be physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. High School Diploma or GED, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications:
