Job Description
Grotonwood is seeking a Media Specialist experienced in photography AND videography to live and work at a Christian summer camp for our nine-week summer camp season (June 12 to August 21, 2026). This is a great resumé-building opportunity for media hobbyists wanting to solidiy their experience, college students seeking real world experience, and those involved in the Media Team at their church. Opportunities for paid internships available. We are happy to work with individual internship requirements and project needs.

Camp Director. Media Specialists work in a team of three.Position Summary:
You will spend your work days exploring camp and it's abundant nature, capturing all the unique moments that make our camp community so awesome. A camp photographer/videographer will primarily be responsible for capturing and processing high quality images/video of all campers, staff, activities, special events, and facilities. They will then edit and prepare images/video ready for upload to the camp's social media platforms on a nightly/weekly basis to create a narrative for camp families and all future marketing materials. Experience managing a high volume of images/video while on a deadline is essential to the success of the position. Applicant must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment. Candidate must be self-motivated, resourceful, creative and able to balance a combination of field work and editing/post-production on a tight deadline. Experience with social media management desirable. Other duties will include participation on some off-campus trips to places like theme parks.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Applicants should be prepared for long, active days outdoors in hot and humid conditions, carrying own gear essential Strong natural curiosity: interest in interacting with campers and staff in order to build relationships and trust Desire to learn new skills such as using a DJI Mavic Pro Drone Candidates will be given direction from, and report to, the camp director Ability to command the attention of a large group of people, confidence in public speaking, giving direction Strong creative license: ability to plan, pitch and produce interesting stories or campaigns Provide tangible glimpses into 'the day to day' and 'behind the scenes' of camp lifeRequirements:
Ability live and work at camp from June 12 -August 21, 2026 Experience with photo and video editing software such as: lightroom, adobe elements, Photoshop, Final Cut, Adobe Premier Experience with Digital SLR cameras Use Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop to generate custom content Create a weekly highlights video within a deadline Create a weekly photo album within a deadline Team player with ability to work unsupervised essential Ability engage audience and direct groups of people Comfortable living and working in an environment that fosters Christian values Build and maintain positive relationships with campers and staff Follow all camp policies and proceduresQualifications:
