Summer Program Amergis Educational Staffing is partnered with a school in Weston, MA that is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Nurse to support a 5 week Summer Camp with an option for an extension!

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week Position Overview Seeking an RN to work the summer program for about 100 students grades 6-12 located in Weston, MA. Typical general school nursing duties including diabetes care management, med passing and EPI-Pen administration. Camp starts July 22nd but they would like someone to start the week prior for orientation. Could start ASAP and go into the summer or if it's a good fit, they would extend into next school year! Hours are 8:00-4:00 Monday-Friday. Some programs in the camp include archery, athletics and boating. Camp ends August 14th. Potential extension into next school year! Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 nursing care for a diabetic student Monitor blood glucose levels and manage the student's insulin pump Support and monitor feeding and mealtime assistance as needed Ensure the student is able to remain in class as much as possible Collaborate with school staff to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment Follow all school health plans and medical protocols Requirements Registered Nurse license required Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations preferred Diabetes and Pediatric Experience Required This is a rewarding opportunity for an LPN seeking summer work in a school-based setting while providing individualized care to a young student. Minimum Requirements:
