Summer Camp School Age

Summer Camp Teacher (Full-Time Seasonal) - Discovery Kids Discovery Kids is seeking an energetic, responsible, and positive Summer Camp Teacher to join our School Age Summer Camp Program. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys staying active, working with children, participating in field trips, and creating a safe and fun camp environment. Our Summer Camp program includes daily activities, parks, swimming, movies, community outings, and field trips throughout the summer. Staff members play an important role in keeping campers safe, engaged, and excited each day. Position Responsibilities Supervise and actively engage with school-age children throughout daily camp activities Drive and safely transport campers in a 14-passenger transit van for field trips and outings Maintain active supervision and group safety during transportation and community outings Conduct regular head counts and ensure campers remain with assigned groups Participate in activities alongside campers, including outdoor play and swimming days Plan and complete age-appropriate lessons, games, and enrichment activities Support positive behavior guidance and reinforce Discovery Kids Camp Expectations and Life Skills Maintain the cleanliness and organization of camp materials and vehicles Communicate professionally with staff, families, and administration Follow all childcare licensing, transportation, emergency, and safety procedures Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old for driving requirements Valid driver's license with clean driving record Comfortable driving a 14-passenger transit van Experience working with school-age children preferred Positive attitude, dependable, energetic, and team-oriented Ability to stay active outdoors during summer activities CPR/First Aid Certified or willing to obtain certification Ability to manage groups of children in active community settings What We're Looking For We are looking for staff who: Create a safe, positive, and engaging environment Encourage children to try new experiences Lead by example with kindness, patience, and professionalism Support teamwork and respectful interactions Enjoy participating in field trips, games, outdoor activities, and summer fun Why Join Discovery Kids?
