  • Temporary Job Summary Join our dynamic outdoor farm camp team as a Summer Camp Staff member, where you will play a vital role in creating an engaging, safe, and educational environment for children during their summer experience.
This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, foster a love for nature and farming, and support children's growth through hands-on activities. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading farm-related activities, and ensuring a positive, inclusive atmosphere that encourages curiosity and learning. If you are energetic, passionate about working with children, and eager to inspire young minds in an outdoor setting, this is the perfect role for you! Responsibilities Supervise and engage children in outdoor farm activities, ensuring safety and enjoyment at all times Lead educational sessions on farming practices, animal care, gardening, and sustainability in a fun and accessible manner Manage group behavior through effective classroom management techniques to promote cooperation and respect Assist with daily camp routines including mealtimes, rest periods, and transitions between activities Provide first aid when necessary and communicate any health or safety concerns promptly to supervisors Support campers with special needs or behavioral challenges by applying appropriate childhood development strategies Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, curiosity, and respect for nature and peers Qualifications Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings such as daycare, summer camp, tutoring, or babysitting Knowledge of outdoor education, farming activities, or environmental programs is a plus Certification in first aid and CPR required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are beneficial Strong classroom management skills to maintain a safe and organized environment Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining high energy levels Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members Passion for childhood development, teaching, sports coaching, theater arts or Christian counseling is advantageous Join us this summer to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while enjoying the great outdoors!
