Summer Intern - Continuous Improvement

This position requires an individual with introductory level engineering experience to assist with continuous improvement projects.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned, as necessary. Assist Bethany plant with Aerial Traffic Flow & Logistics Optimization. This initiative would leverage drone technology and aerial data to analyze, model, and improve truck traffic flow, parking, and inbound/outbound logistics at our Bethany manufacturing facility. Assist Bethany plant with Manufacturing Floor Operations & Process Management Integration. This work would provide hands‑on exposure to manufacturing operations while contributing engineering, automation, and problem‑solving capabilities to day‑to‑day production management and improvement efforts. Other duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Minimum Educational Requirements:

High School diploma. College Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Computer) currently in Progress.

Job Specifications/Skills:

Physical strength to lift and/or carry minimum of 50 pounds frequently. Strong Interpersonal skills

Computer:

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and Auto CAD. Team cooperation - maintain positive/cooperative attitude with all employees of Laticrete and customers.
