MIT Lincoln Laboratory Job Description The Financial Services Department at MIT Lincoln Laboratory is seeking a Funding & Program Services (F&PS) Group Summer Intern to support a file migration and data management initiative. The intern will assist with the transition of documentation from a shared drive to SharePoint, ensuring files are accurately transferred, properly organized, and maintain data integrity. This position provides exposure to document control practices and financial administrative operations within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Support the migration of files and documentation from a shared drive to SharePoint. Validate transferred files for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Organize and maintain SharePoint file structures in accordance with established naming conventions and standards. Identify, track, and assist in resolving discrepancies, duplicates, or missing documentation. Maintain logs to track migration progress and document issues. Coordinate with team members to ensure consistency and adherence to data management practices. Provide general financial administrative support, including data entry, documentation, and reporting assistance. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Currently enrolled in a college or university degree program. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in managing large volumes of data or documentation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze information and identify discrepancies. Familiarity with SharePoint or similar document management systems preferred. Prior experience with data organization or administrative support is a plus. Compensation $23.00 - $27.00 per hour (based on year in school) Selected candidate will be subject to a pre-employment background investigation and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret level DoD security clearance.
