; Position Details Posting Summary Position Title Summer Operation Specialist (Intern) Posting Number AS1099P Subdivision Auxiliary Services Division Student Development & Engagemt Department Conferencing Location Erie, Pa Position Summary The Summer Operations Specialist serves as an integral member of the Auxiliary Service team in the capacity of main office functions, housing functions, facility functions and assistant to main office leadership. The Summer Operations Specialist will have direct responsibility in the day-to-day business operations and be seen as a part of leadership within the department. This specialist helps with effective transitions and management of summer operations which includes summer student housing and camps and conference programs. The Summer Operations Specialist must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, its diverse student population, and its academic programming in the liberal arts and professional education and encourage staff in this regard. Required Qualifications Uphold and be publicly supportive of the Gannon University Institutional Policy Manual and the Office of Residence Life Handbook. Be knowledgeable and able to articulate and implement University policies, rules, and regulations. Demonstrate the willingness to accept supervision, the ability to follow directions, the capacity to work under pressure, and work as a team. Demonstrate excellent public relations and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Be able to ascend and descend stairs in buildings where no elevators are provided or in emergency situations.
