JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Instruct technology camps and classes such as building with VEX Robotics, Coding, building in CAD Software or 3D Printing Lead campers through the successful completion of camp/class goals using the provided curriculum and ensure they complete their projects throughout the week Attend daily staff meetings, assist with setup, clean up, sign-in and pick-up, and follow all Blaze policies and procedures for student safety Direct volunteers to assist during camps and classes Be a role model for campers and volunteer staff by displaying an inclusive, professional, and responsible attitude Inspire youth in STEM through a positive, upbeat, can-do mindset

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience teaching or assisting K-8 students in STEM activities, or currently pursuing/holding a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, education, or a related field. Comfortable working in a classroom environment Previous experience teaching any STEM related subject is ideal VEX Robotics experience is a plus but not required Willingness to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook Friendly, patient, and sensitive to the needs of a diverse student population Comfortable with directing young adult volunteers to achieve a well run camp or class Available during Summer in July and August. Work hours will be scheduled within the time frame of 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays Work locations: 20806 Bothell Everett Hwy Suite 101, Bothell, WA 98021 4008 133rd St SE Suite#106, Mill Creek, WA 98012 Blaze Robotics Academy is looking for an engaging, knowledgeable and inspiring Instructor to join our team of passionate and fun educators. Blaze Robotics is a leading provider of STEM education and competitive robotics on the Eastside with year-round camps and classes designed to ignite a passion for science, technology and math through hands-on activities focused on robotics, programming and 3D printing. Our organization is looking for a mature individual who has prior experience teaching children, and comfortable leading teenagers and young adults at our Bellevue or Issaquah locations.

The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is excited about STEM education and enjoys working both in a classroom environment and leading kids outside of class. This position is perfect for school teachers looking for summer instruction time, fresh graduates, and college students who are looking for career building experience.
