Summer Youth Program Staff

The Boys & Girls Club of Ottawa County is looking to hire FUN, motivated and unique people to join our team for the Club's Summer Program. We are willing to start you ASAP to receive the necessary training. Summer program is from May 20th to July 31st. About us Boys and Girls Club of Ottawa County's mission is to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. Hiring Details The Summer Program begins June 5th but training for Summer Program employees will be at the third week of May. Must be available to work Monday-Friday 7:30am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-5:30pm. Positions open at our Miami locations. Job would begin June 8th but we are willing to start training you earlier. Summer Staff training will begin May 26th and is

PRIMARY FUNCTION

Implements, supervises and assists the Unit Director with planning and evaluating activities provided within the five core areas such as Character & Leadership Development, Education and Career Development, Health & Lifeskills, Sports Fitness and Recreation, and the Arts.

KEY ROLES

(Essential Job Responsibilities):

• -Supervise a group of 10-15 youth ages 6-18 years old.
• -Mentor youth to be their best self by being a good role model.
• -Organize fun and engaging activities
• -Ability to use your voice to garner attention in loud or chaotic environments
• -Engage and educate youth during various fun field trips.
• -Flexible and adaptable to quick changing environments.
• -Able to work as a team to organize kids, motivate them and help them have a great summer.
