Supervisor

Spins Bowl Wappingers Falls is seeking a motivated and reliable Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of our busy bowling and entertainment venue. Position Summary The Shift Supervisor provides operational support to the General Manager and Assistant Manager. This role assists with team supervision, scheduling support, guest service management, reporting, and overall facility operations. The Supervisor serves as acting manager in the absence of senior leadership.

Job Duties:

Learn and understand the responsibilities of the General Manager and Assistant Manager. Learn all facility job roles and enforce accountability to outlined responsibilities. Understand and uphold all operational procedures of the center. Assist with recruiting and hiring efforts, including prescreening candidates and providing input on hiring decisions while remaining aware of legal interviewing practices. Support scheduling and training of new team members. Provide functional supervision to team members by delegating tasks and monitoring performance. Assist with control desk operations, including cash handling, pending monies, and inventory tracking. Support league development and special event initiatives. Participate in management meetings and provide input on operational improvements. Assist in preparing daily and weekly reports and maintain confidentiality of all documentation. Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of senior leadership. Make bank deposits as requested. Monitor guest behavior and professionally de-escalate situations or escalate concerns as necessary. Call in additional staff or provide coverage when needed. Assist with inventory management and ordering processes. Set a professional example through attitude, appearance, and work habits. Maintain consistent communication with management regarding operational issues or concerns. Supervision Exercised Provides limited functional supervision to team members. Serves as acting manager in the absence of the General Manager and Assistant Manager. Final hiring, termination, and performance evaluations are completed by the General Manager. Supervision Received Reports to the General Manager, Assistant Manager, Operations Manager, or Proprietor. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred; prior supervisory experience in a similar environment will be considered. Strong time management and people management skills. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally resolve customer concerns. Ability to represent the center positively within the community. Comfortable handling high-pressure situations involving guests, staff, or equipment. Ability to safely bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds.
