The Supervisor, Family Assistance Program will: Supervise a unit of Family Assistance Analysts (FAA) who are responsible for determining multiple Income Support Programs and providing employment assistance to a diverse population; Provide timely and appropriate customer services in determining clients' eligibility; Provide effective leadership, problem resolution, and training to Income Support Division (ISD) staff in order to ensure that the office follows the County Plan of Operations in meeting performance goals of timeliness, accuracy, and customer service in accordance with federal and state standards and regulations as well as those outlined in the state and county corrective action plans and initiatives. How does it get done? The Supervisor, Family Assistance Program is responsible for: Providing program guidance, mentoring, coaching, and caseload analysis; Training in policies, rules and procedures; Advancing department/division goals for client self-sufficiency by promoting client placement and maintaining positive relationships with work contractors and other community entities; Developing employees by coaching and counseling employees using currently accepted management practices, the Health Care Authority (HCA) Code of Conduct and the County Plan of Operations. Who are the customers? Income Support Division (ISD) Family Assistance Analysts (FAA). Ideal Candidate Income Support Division (ISD) Family Assistance Analysts (FAA). Minimum Qualification Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in any field and two (2) years of experience in unemployment insurance claims and/or tax, accounting, auditing, finance, budgeting, eligibility determination/interviewing, clerical work, customer service, data entry, and/or interviewing in a public welfare or social welfare program. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling six (6) years may substitute for the required education and experience. One (1) year of supervisory experience may substitute for one (1) year of experience. Employment Requirements Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License. Must obtain a Defensive Driving Certification. Employment is subject to a pre-employment criminal background investigation and is conditional pending results.
