Summary :
The Supervisor, Support Services organizes and supervises the daily workflow and operations, creates department schedules, and reallocates team members and resources based on business need of each department. Ensures compliance with regulatory agency requirements and department policies and procedures are followed. Promotes and strengthens employee engagement, process improvement initiatives, patient satisfaction, and workplace safety. Maintains and enhances interpersonal relationships with medical staff, team members, patients, and visitors.Job Description:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Hires, transfers, directs, and manages performance of team members. 2. Develops performance expectations, coaches, evaluates, and motivates team members. Investigates complaints and performance concerns. 3. Plans, directs, and coordinates the operations and fiscal health of a business, division, department, or operating unit to reduce costs and maintain efficiency. 4. Stays abreast of regulatory requirements to ensure appropriate development of policies and procedures. Ensures team members are in compliance with system and department policies, regulatory requirements, and laws. 5. Identifies opportunities for improvement to deliver highest quality outcomes and patient satisfaction. 6. Ensures professional practice standards are met through reviews, meetings, reports, and observation of results. 7. Ensures services are coordinated with other department services and corporate plans. 8. Coaches team members to work safely to prevent injuries and ensure an ethical, non-discriminatory, and safe work environment. 9. Follows food safety requirements, procurement processes, supply contracting, inventory control, and infection prevention.QUALIFICATIONS
- Five years of experience in a related field
- Three years of supervisory experience including leading work teams and/or projects
- Food Safety certification
- Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
- Job classification is exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Normally works in climate controlled office environment
- Frequent sitting with movement throughout building
- Use of computers throughout the work day
- Frequent use of keyboard with repetitive motion of hands, wrists, and fingers.
