We are looking for a Closing Supervisor at the Taco John's in Yankton. Some day shifts may be included but mostly closing shifts. Hours would be 2 or 3pm to around 11pm. This role is all about creating a fun, fast-paced environment where quality food and excellent customer service come first. As a supervisor, you'll oversee daily operations, support staff development, and ensure the restaurant runs smoothly from shift to shift. Responsibilities Manage daily restaurant operations, including opening, closing, and shift transitions to ensure efficiency and consistency. Supervise team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a positive work environment. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain high standards of quality and safety. Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring proper cash handling procedures. Control inventory levels by monitoring stock, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste through effective inventory control. Enforce food safety regulations and cleanliness standards to guarantee a safe dining environment for guests and staff. Assist with hiring, interviewing, and training new team members to build a strong, knowledgeable staff. Experience Previous supervisory or management experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is required. Hands-on experience with food preparation, cooking, and food handling practices. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable. Background in hospitality management or restaurant management will be an advantage. Proven ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of customer service. Experience in inventory control, budgeting, and food safety protocols is preferred.
