KODIAK FIRE SAFETY DIVISION -FF

in KODIAK, Alaska. Member is assigned to a 144 hour per pay period work schedule.

Qualifications:

To qualify at the GS- 11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-10 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include performing the following types of tasks on a regular basis. Developing work schedules, assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of civilian firefighters Developing performance plans, evaluating employees, counseling employees during progress reviews and preparing annual performance evaluations. Directly overseeing staff, implementing plans, and managing daily operations. Supervising the operations of personnel of an organization, on matter s pertaining to administration, discipline and training. Establishing on-the-job training requirements. Conducting on-the-job training, and explaining progress or lack of progress to subordinates Applying recognized standards of structural, and aircraft fire response procedures/techniques, fire prevention, and fire investigation. published by the Coast Guard, other Federal agencies, State and industry organizations such as the National Fire Protection Association. Recognizing, evaluating, and applying fire suppression methods and procedures. Knowledge of the Incident Command System (ICS) in accordance with

NFPA 1561

(Fire Department Incident Management System), 29 CFR 1910 and department procedures, policies, and guidelines.
