This is a Mission-Essential position performing a Mission-Critical-Function which must continue uninterrupted after the occurrence of an emergency and continued through full resumption of all functions. Must have no convictions of a crime of domestic violence. Must pass an initial pre-employment medical examinion, periodic medical examinions, required initial and annual physical fitness/physical agility tests, meet established hearing standards and discern colors, contrast, and depth. This position requires the performance of a Physical Agility Test which reflects the bona-fide occupional physical qualificions for the position. The incumbent must wear a DAF Police Officer uniform as identified in the DAF Police AFI and required to meet dress and appearance standards when supporting non DoD agencies IAW the AFI. Must work an uncommon tour of duty, to include nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, roting shifts, and recall. Incumbent must possess a valid driver's license and be able to opere all security forces vehicles and installed equipment. Subject to duty position evaluion on a pass/fail standard in accordance with AFI 36-2646, Security Forces Training And Standardizion Evaluion Programs. Must wear approved protective clothing such as body armor/ballistic ples, helmets, personal protective equipment, cos, boots, traffic vests and/or chemical protective equipment, (e.g. respiror mask). Applicants must have least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Creditable specialized experience may have been gained in work on a police force; through service as a military police officer; in work providing or protection and law enforcement in parks, forests, or other nural resource or recreional environments; in performing criminal investigive duties; or in other work th provided the required knowledge and skills.NOTE:

The ideal candide will have in-depth knowledge of applicable law enforcement and security regulions (AF, Federal, and DoD), including force protection, integred base defense, anti-terrorism, and physical security protocols. A thorough understanding of safety, security, and EEO practices is essential. This candide will demonstre proficiency in police officer procedures and opering methods, enabling independent execution of duties reled to protection level resources, installion entry control, armed response, and dispch. The ideal candide will also possess the ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organizion, exercising sound supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
