Job Description
Supplier Quality Engineer Join Our Team and Shape the Quality of What We Build We're seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Engineer to drive supplier excellence and ensure the components entering our manufacturing operations meet the highest standards of precision, quality, and reliability. If you thrive in a hands‑on engineering environment, enjoy building strong supplier partnerships, and bring deep expertise in manufacturing processes and quality systems, we want to meet you. What You'll Do As a key technical leader in our quality organization, you will: Qualify, evaluate, and develop suppliers of precision-manufactured components. Ensure incoming parts consistently meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality expectations . Lead PPAP reviews , contribute to APQP activities , and ensure suppliers are prepared for new product launches. Conduct supplier audits , perform dimensional verification , and assess process capability. Drive root cause analysis , lead corrective action efforts (SCAR, 8D), and reduce defects at the source. Collaborate closely with suppliers to resolve issues and elevate their performance. Serve as a technical resource on manufacturing processes including machining, metal stamping, weldments, injection molding, die casting, electrical/electronics, and rubber/polymer components. What You Bring Essential Skills Demonstrated experience with APQP and PPAP execution. Proficiency in
SCAR , 8D
problem solving , and structured root cause analysis. Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T principles. Hands-on capability in dimensional inspection and conducting process capability assessments. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within IATF 16949 orISO 9001
quality management systems. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and guide suppliers toward continuous improvement. A passion for precision, problem solving, and making a measurable impact on product quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Swepsonville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $43.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
