ABOUT THE ROLE
The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for identifying strategic opportunities within logistics and inventory management through optimizing market demand and production supply information. The role will work to maintain KPIs and reporting metrics to manage the operations and work in strategic initiatives to identify opportunities for supply chain savings. Reviewing alternative models and network optimization opportunities to increase overall asset utilization and customer service at the most efficient cost.
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Maintain tools and reports in support of Supply Chain and Logistics functions, including inventory management, tactical supply planning, and cost analysis. Work closely with sales, production & technical services departments to balance market demand, production supply & working capital objectives, linking supply chain effectiveness to financial statements & customer service metrics. Utilize the optimization tool to analyze the distribution network and run what-if scenarios for various projects, such as storage sizing, supply source and mix. Manage inventory forecast & investigate alternative inventory planning scenarios to optimize costs and market demand. Participate in various studies and projects from time to time involving Logistics as well as other functional departments as a team member or project leader. Participate in the monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meeting and provide support through analysis and insight of Amrize's complex distribution network. Facilitate weekly and monthly supply planning calls for area(s) of responsibility. Investigate & analyze the feasibility of alternative modes. Other duties as assigned. Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
Bachelor's degree or 5 years of equivalent experience
Field of Study Preferred:
Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance Required Work Experience:
3-5 years
Required Technical Skills:
Excellent Excel skills, Experience with linear programming, SAP Business Warehouse, Qlikview, or other similar business reporting tools.
Travel Requirements:
10%
Additional Requirements:
Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit test.
