The Role We are seeking a seasoned Supply Chain Specialist to join our procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing a wide variety of electronic components and raw materials necessary for our manufacturing operations. You will leverage your deep understanding of the global electronics supply chain to secure the best pricing, ensure on-time delivery, and mitigate supply risks in a fast-paced contract manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement:

Source and procure active, passive, and electromechanical components to support production schedules and engineering requirements.

Supplier Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with manufacturers, franchised distributors, and independent brokers. Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.

Negotiation:

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost reduction targets without compromising quality.

Risk Mitigation:

Proactively identify potential supply chain disruptions, component obsolescence (EOL), and shortages. Develop alternate sourcing strategies and present equivalent cross-references to engineering.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with the engineering, production, and sales teams to ensure alignment on project timelines and material availability.

Data Management:

Maintain accurate procurement records, lead times, and pricing data within our ERP system.

Compliance:

Ensure all purchasing activities comply with industry-specific regulations and standards.

Qualifications Experience:

3-5+ years of direct experience purchasing electronic components within an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or contract manufacturing environment.

Industry Knowledge:

Deep understanding of the electronic component market, global supply chain dynamics, and authorized distribution networks.

Technical Aptitude:

Ability to read and interpret bills of materials (BOMs), manufacturer part numbers, and basic technical datasheets.

Systems Expertise:

Proficiency with ERP systems and electronics procurement software, as well as Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel (Lookups, Pivot Tables, etc.).

Skills:

$50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
