This position supervises purchasing activities, inventory planning, vendor coordination, and logistics operations while maintaining strong supplier relationships and supporting continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and capable of leading a team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Supply Chain & Purchasing Operations Supervise daily purchasing and supply chain activities to ensure timely procurement and inventory replenishment. Manage purchase orders, shipment tracking, delivery schedules, and inventory coordination. Monitor inventory levels, forecasts, and supply plans to maintain optimal stock availability while minimizing shortages and excess inventory. Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, warehouses, and internal departments to support smooth operational flow. Assist in supporting new product launches, promotions, and business initiatives through effective planning and coordination. Support purchasing activities as needed, including processing purchase orders and coordinating supply requirements. Vendor & Inventory Management Maintain strong vendor relationships and communicate regularly regarding pricing, lead times, shipment schedules, and service expectations. Support vendor negotiations and identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements. Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or service. Review purchase order costing and billing accuracy to ensure compliance with company procedures. Leadership & Team Support Supervise and support team members in daily operations. Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to help improve team performance and operational efficiency. Promote teamwork, accountability, and effective communication within the department. Reporting, Compliance & Process Improvement Analyze purchasing trends, inventory reports, and operational data to support business decisions. Prepare reports, KPIs, and performance summaries for management review. Ensure compliance with company policies, purchasing procedures, and operational standards. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual audit controls as well as periodic inventory counts. Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce operational costs. Support continuous improvement initiatives within supply chain operations. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Operations, or related field preferred. Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory planning, or supply chain operations. Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred. Experience working with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of import/export logistics and international sourcing is a plus.
