Job Description

AFO is looking for a Supply Technician II to work in Montrose, CO. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! Technical supply management work related to depot, local, or other supply activities. Assignments usually relate to stable or standardized segments of technical supply management operations; or to functions or subjects that are narrow in scope or limited in difficulty. The work generally involves individual case problems or supply actions. Receives deliveries and checks against orders. Prepares transfer documents and receipts. Monitors inventories and preparing requisitions to restock items. Performs work under general supervision. Handles moderately complex issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Responsibilities Receive supplies and equipment ordered through various purchasing mediums. Unload material from delivery trucks and inspect for shipping damage with delivery tickets annotated prior to acceptance of the shipment. Complete receiving reports as required and notify the ordering individual of the material receipt. Enter receipts into MAXIMO or FIMS. Mark material as required, i.e. "Property of the U.S. Government," accountable asset number, warehouse storeroom (STORES) stock numbers, and bar coding. Store received material within the warehouse or deliver direct charged material and equipment to the user. Notify buyer of discrepancies identified during the receiving process. Monitor and make available to employees the Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Issue existing warehouse stock. Obtain correct work orders from users. Prepare shipments to centralized warehouses within the region utilizing commercial carriers such as trucking and air freight firms. Prepare hazardous material manifests. Shipping papers shall be approved by the Property Management Officer (PMO) and Environmental staff. Coordinate with federal staff for outgoing shipments. Ensure proper crating of shipments and the most economical method of shipping is used unless otherwise approved. Assist with annual physical inventory of all warehouse supplies and materials including outlying field warehouses. Research and account for discrepancies identified during the physical inventory. Report appropriate disposal actions for obsolete and excess materials and supplies to the PMO. Assist with evaluating inventory on hand to determine whether turnover meets established criteria. Work with customers and the PMO to identify excess stock. Provide requisition or credit card purchase requests for stock replenishment for all warehouses. Assist with ordering replenishment of stock and direct charge material. Deliver and/or pick up materials from various locations throughout the regional maintenance offices as requested. Provide material handling and storage assistance. Ensure materials are handled in a safe, ergonomically correct manner and material-handling equipment is operated in a safe manner. Comply with regulations addressing proper labeling, storage, handling, obtaining oil samples, wearing of personal protective equipment, documentation of all receipts, visual inspections, and completion of shipping manifest. Assist with preparing hazardous materials and wastes for shipment and assist with preparing shipping documentation with following Environmental Protection Agency, Department of Transportation, and OSHA regulations pertaining to hazardous material and wastes. Perform housekeeping duties to ensure the warehouse is kept clean, neat, and orderly. Perform security inspections to ensure gates are locked, there are no penetrations in fencing, and exterior lights are functioning. Ensure warehouse doors are locked at the end of the workday. Assist with snow removal for the warehouse, O&M shop areas, and yard maintenance. Qualifications Current, valid Driver's License. Minimum 4 years of work experience in supply and warehousing functions. Minimum 2 years' experience using logistics automation systems. Minimum 2 years of forklift driving experience. Job
