Job Description
Responsibilities Essential functions will include:
Serves as a team leader, technical expert, and primary oversight authority for a localized team of supply personnel. Ensures the logistics team seamlessly handles critical, high-value components, assemblies, and specialized equipment. Assign, distribute, and balance daily workloads among supply technicians. Monitor task backlogs, amend priorities based on urgent weapon assembly schedules, and instruct the team on specialized warehouse procedures. Perform final reviews on the team's data entries, inventory ledgers, and transaction loops. Ensure all logistics activities strictly conform to Naval supply mandates and Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) directives. Conduct exhaustive database searches and reconstruct heavily convoluted data records to resolve persistent inventory discrepancies, cataloging drifts, or system-wide supply shortfalls. Train team members on legacy and modern specialized inventory systems (such as Navy ERP and automated tracking portals). Instruct staff on the proper use of barcode scanning equipment and high-priority part expediting workflows. Reconstruct complex supply transactions, investigate inventory discrepancies, and update Naval material databases (such as ERP and local tracking programs) to maintain data integrity. Monitor performance metrics and compile comprehensive operational readouts for the Logistics Division Head. Recommend formal corrective actions or system adjustments to optimize local warehouse workflows. Process high-priority supply requisitions, track critical material shortages, and expedite orders to support time-sensitive weapon assembly and training schedules. Conduct detailed stock counts, manage optimal storage allocations for specialized components, and coordinate the issuance and replenishment of unique line items. Unpack, verify, bar-code, and scan incoming specialized equipment to match rigid procurement listings before staging them for industrial use. Interface directly with weapon test divisions, range controls, and vendor representatives to advise on local supply procedures and status tracking metrics. Maintain a 100% accountability of all incoming materials. Maintain a 95% accountability of all CBR Gear Report all inventories discrepancies to designated Technical Assistant (TA) and COR. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (GED) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or Operations Management preferred Deep practical knowledge of Department of the Navy logistics infrastructure, tracking codes, and federal supply classifications Proven capability to direct personnel, evaluate workflow pipelines, resolve operational bottleneck friction, and maintain team discipline. Competency utilizing military database architectures to track high-value parts, audit material chains of custody, and adjust stocking criteria. 1-2 years of experience in a formal leadership, supervisory, or team-lead capacity. Navy database systems, inventory reconciliation modules, and data analysis software to oversee complex technical data pipelines Have written and oral communications abilities commensurate with this management role. Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. Ability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government Representative, and outside contacts. Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record. Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged period amounts of time. Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically. High noise levels are common as is the potential exposure to heat/cold, noise, dusts, mist, and/or fumes.Security Requirements:
Must be able to maintain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
