The supervisor must ensure that employees are trained and adhere to safety, quality, and food safety practices as well as standard operating procedures always. The supervisor must have ability to take fast action and make decisions to avoid production constrains. The supervisor must report any non-standard condition or down time that requires timely escalation to their immediate supervisor for resolution along with recommendations for corrective action. The supervisor will normally have about 32 employees reporting directly to them during peak season. The supervisor will report directly to the Operations Manager. The supervisor must be able to work any shift including weekends and holidays. Primary Responsibilities Food Safety is the responsibility of all Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees. All Ventura Coastal manufacturing employees must be aware of CCPs in their area and how to document them appropriately. All staff must report food safety and quality problems to their immediate supervisor during their shift. Be accountable for all aspects of your shift (Safety, Employee. TPH, Recoveries). Communication and transparency are a must and communicate all issues and down time. Hold your employees accountable for their responsibilities during their shift. Ensure schedules are in place by Thursday for the upcoming week. Ensure to walk both lines at the beginning and every hour after for production deficiencies during shift and opportunities for improvements. Report and follow through with all Hazard IDs reported by employees or yourself. Use the provided tools to determine TPH, Recoveries improvements throughout the shift and look for opportunities for improvement. Immediately report any non-standard personnel or production issues to Upper Management, along with recommended solutions. Ensure you walk the path before any run that is started to validate the path is correct. Meet with each employee personally after the pass down meeting, to ensure they understand the plan. Ensure we set up coverage for the incoming shift on all call ins by at least one hour before the shift ends and send an email for call in report. Communicate coverages to outgoing and incoming Supervisor. Ensure we set up coverage for vacation requests or LOA. Communicate to all Supervisor's the coverage that was setup Responsible to a specific CCP in the HACCP plan regarding: CCP #1

• Pasteurization of NFC & Pulp CCP #2
• Juice Load Out or Packaging Screens CCP #3
• Receipt of empty or full tanker, loading of tanker. This task is done by an operator, supervisors, Asst Plant Manager, Manager, Concentrate Operating or Sr. Production Clerk. CCP #4
• Packaging Integrity.

Direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the production of citrus juices, oils and blends. Train employees in the safe, quality-oriented discharge of their respective production duties. Confer as necessary with maintenance or laboratory technicians to resolve maintenance or quality issues. Promote safety in the department and ensure that production personnel adhere to all safety regulations including the wearing of all essential personal protective equipment. Ensure that all production personnel are following food safety and personal hygiene practices. Provide written and oral positive and constructive feedback to employees on a regular basis to improve individual employee performance. Resolve production employee relations issues to maintain positive employee morale. Act professionally towards customers, vendors, and other visitors to the plant. Demonstrate reliable attendance, consistent punctuality and a positive attitude always. Validate all CIPs are up to date.

Water Conservation:

Validate Green Water Tank level and shut done equipment running on water. Walk up 3 flights of stairs to Extraction, Supervisor office, check bulk concentration tanks and deliver samples to the lab. Use ladders to check on various production processes throughout the plant. Ensure all employees complete "We got This" daily checks. Ensure employees and yourselves complete 100% Mandatory Safety training. Perform other duties as assigned and required. Qualifications and Education Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and large-scale ERP applications is a must. Possess a valid forklift license or can obtain one. The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and schedules, and the ability to work under pressure is a must. Must be able to make rational decisions on the fly. Know when to get upper management support involved in a timely manner on serious or potentially serious issues. (Including HR, Production, Quality, Mechanical/Downtime Issues, etc.). Ability to foresee unexpected problems with production schedules, equipment, etc. Knowledge of citrus related production equipment. Oral and written communication skills. Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) are a major plus. Three years of demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a food processing facility. Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Agriculture, Engineering (or a related discipline) or equivalent successful work experience. Capable of administering the Collective Bargaining Agreement with respect to overtime scheduling and daily work assignments. Physical Requirements The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and schedules, and the ability to work under pressure is a must. 90% of the time is spent walking, climbing stairs and ladders in a plant environment. 10% of the time in a normal office environment at a desk or working at a computer terminal. The supervisor may be on call.

Compensation Pay Range:

$70,000

• $75,000 annually (bonus potential for achieving performance goals.
