- $75,000 a year 2 days ago Benefits Health savings account AD&D insurance Paid holidays Disability insurance Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) matching Prescription drug insurance Qualifications Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook ERP systems Supervising experience Decision making Escalation handling Production scheduling Full Job Description Job Summary The production supervisor is the person responsible for the safe, efficient, and quality-oriented processing of citrus juices, blends and oils on their respective shift.
- Pasteurization of NFC & Pulp CCP #2
- Juice Load Out or Packaging Screens CCP #3
- Receipt of empty or full tanker, loading of tanker. This task is done by an operator, supervisors, Asst Plant Manager, Manager, Concentrate Operating or Sr. Production Clerk. CCP #4
- Packaging Integrity.
Water Conservation:
Validate Green Water Tank level and shut done equipment running on water. Walk up 3 flights of stairs to Extraction, Supervisor office, check bulk concentration tanks and deliver samples to the lab. Use ladders to check on various production processes throughout the plant. Ensure all employees complete "We got This" daily checks. Ensure employees and yourselves complete 100% Mandatory Safety training. Perform other duties as assigned and required. Qualifications and Education Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and large-scale ERP applications is a must. Possess a valid forklift license or can obtain one. The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and schedules, and the ability to work under pressure is a must. Must be able to make rational decisions on the fly. Know when to get upper management support involved in a timely manner on serious or potentially serious issues. (Including HR, Production, Quality, Mechanical/Downtime Issues, etc.). Ability to foresee unexpected problems with production schedules, equipment, etc. Knowledge of citrus related production equipment. Oral and written communication skills. Bi-lingual skills (English/Spanish) are a major plus. Three years of demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in a food processing facility. Bachelor of Science in Food Science, Agriculture, Engineering (or a related discipline) or equivalent successful work experience. Capable of administering the Collective Bargaining Agreement with respect to overtime scheduling and daily work assignments. Physical Requirements The ability to meet flexible and changing priorities and schedules, and the ability to work under pressure is a must. 90% of the time is spent walking, climbing stairs and ladders in a plant environment. 10% of the time in a normal office environment at a desk or working at a computer terminal. The supervisor may be on call.Compensation Pay Range:
$70,000- $75,000 annually (bonus potential for achieving performance goals.
