SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC INSPECTOR

-T32, WG-5801-11, you will serve as an inspector of surface maintenance equipment to ensure th physical and opering characteristics are within acceptable standards and specificions. Duties involve complex inspection work th requires a wide variety of inspection processes and techniques. May assist higher graded inspectors, as required. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

MILITARY REQUIREMENTS

: Compible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective de of placement . This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership. Conditions of Employment:

Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a probionary period. Must be able to obtain and maintain the approprie security clearance of the position. GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: Experience or training which demonstres knowledge of equipment to be able to do routine jobs, simple preventive maintenance tasks, and is able to use common tools and equipment in the line of work.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: To qualify for the

position, you must have least 18 months experience or training diagnosing, repairing, overhauling, and modifying more complex vehicles, equipment, and more compliced systems. Experience which has provided a thorough knowledge of diagnostic equipment. Experience applying independent judgment in determining methods and techniques required to solve unusually complex maintenance and repair problems. Experienced in testing, inspecting, and evaluing the work performed on vehicles, equipment and systems.
