CSMS, FMS1 & FMS7

Phoenix, AZ and UTES Florence, AZ. The purpose of this position is to serve as a working leader of three or more Surface Maintenance Mechanics, WG-5801-10. Performs mechanic duties involving maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, inspection, and/or overhaul of a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, and special purpose vehicles and equipment. Provides technical subordine guidance and group leadership to employees on the team.

ARIZONA ARMY NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.

Prior to appointment into this position, selectee must be a current member of the Arizona Army Nional Guard. This is an excepted service position th requires membership in a compible military assignment in the employing ste's Nional Guard, required prior to the effective de of placement. Selectee required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Applicants who are not currently a member of the Nional Guard must be eligible for immedie membership and employment in the Nional Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement. Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigion. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Incumbent must possess and maintain a current unrestricted, excluding glasses, ste and military driver's license. Duty locion determined by applicant city locion selection and maintenance facility manning needs. Applicant's shop determined by selecting official. Applicants in the grades of E-8 and E-9 must possess least a Secret Security Clearance. Irregular (compensory) hours may be required to support operional requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. Must possess and maintain access to the Arizona Army Nional Guard computer network (NIPR) and required systems. Must possess or be able to obtain required GCSS (Global Comb Support System} -Army certificion within 15 days of hire de. Must be able to maintain access to GCSS-Army. MOS SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

: Must possess least 24 months experience or training leading to a thorough knowledge of the mechanical makeup, operion, and working relionships of complex systems, assemblies, and parts for a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment. Ability to diagnose, repair, overhaul, and modify a variety of comb, tactical, commercial, special purpose vehicles, and equipment. Knowledge of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumic, and other non-mechanical systems th have a functional relionship and effect on the operion of mechanical systems. Knowledge of hydraulic lifting, loading, turning, and positioning systems and their mechanical, hydraulic, pneumic, electrical, and electronic controls. Basic knowledge of electronics, sufficient to identify and replace defective components, such as sensors, diodes, and circuit boards. Ability to repair or overhaul major components such as diesel, multi-fuel or gasoline engines, turbine engines, automic and manual transmissions, drive line assemblies, electrical and electronic systems and accessories, fuel injection systems, and emission control systems. In addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstres the ability to plan, organize, and lead the work of others in fields directly reled the repair function of this occupional series. Must have the ability to perform administrive functions; to read and interpret a variety of technical publicions used in the repair of supported equipment.
