SUPERVISOR, WS-5801-14, you will serve as a Full Assistant to a supervisor who has responsibility for providing overall direction and coordinion of subordine work activities and functions. Participes with higher-level management officials in planning and establishing long-range work requirements and schedules. Serves as the highest-level subject mter expert for work accomplished in the organizion. Work activities and functions are typically controlled through two or more levels of supervision. The occupion and non-supervisory grade level which best reflects the nure of the overall work operions supervised is Surface Maintenance Mechanic, WG-5801-11. (1) Provides direct input or participes in meetings and/or conferences with engineering, production control, and other personnel involving the initial analysis of long-range work requirements. Reviews immedie and long-range requirements of organizional segments and groups supervised based on workload forecasts, and develops, for approval by their superiors, plans for meeting long-range resource requirements. Plans the allocion of resources and the distribution of work to subordine supervisors, and determines the internal plan to be followed by subordine supervisors in applying those resources to accomplish work operions. Evalues resources required to accomplish proposed work "packages" or program(s) in relion to the resources committed to ongoing and previously scheduled work operions; and recommends changes to superiors concerning previously planned work schedules. Participes fully with higher level management officials and staff organizions in studying and developing recommendions concerning changes in specificion requirements, work techniques, and standards; revision of organizional structures, responsibilities, and relionships; and improvement or modernizion of equipment, facility layout, and workflow. (2)Assigns and explains work requirements and opering instructions to subordine supervisors, sets deadlines, and establishes the sequence of work operions to be followed. Maintains balanced workloads by shifting assignments, workers, and other resources to achieve the most effective work operions. Reviews and analyzes work accomplishments, cost, and utilizion of subordines to evalue work progress, control costs, and anticipe and avoid possible problems by recommending corrective action to superiors. Participes with management officials and/or engineering personnel to develop qualitive and/or quantitive work standards. Evalues work operions and reviews completed work and inspection reports to assure th standards are met. Coordine work operions with the supervisors of other organizions and functions. (3) Develops and establishes internal procedures (e.g., meetings, content, and timing of reports) to be followed by subordine supervisors to assure effective control and direction of work activities, organizions, and personnel supervised. Identifies long-range training needs for all levels of subordine supervisors and workers and submits justificion and funding requests to superiors and arranges for the accomplish of the training. (4) Develops, publishes, and ensures employee compliance with standing opering procedures for the activity supervised. Implements and complies with agency, ste, and federal regulory Occupional Safety and Health, and environmental requirements. Ensures use of quality conformant products through compliance with established merials shelf life programs. Ensures all aspects of Force Protection to include physical security, facility and vehicle key control, property accountability, access control and employee protection in accordance with established policies and regulions. Implements procedures to account for all real property, installion property, MTO&E (Modified Tables of Organizion and Equipment) property, TDA (Tables of Distribution and Allowances) property, and installed equipment loced or assigned to the facility in accordance with ste and federal regulions and policies. (5) Prepares for and participes in various types of readiness evaluions, inspections, mobilizion and command support exercises. May be required to perform such additional duties as structural firefighting, aircraft fire/crash/rescue duty, security guard, snow removal, munitions loading and handling, heavy equipment operion, maintenance of facilities and equipment, or to serve as a team member on boards to cope with nural disasters or civil emergencies.
