Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Seeking a skilled professional with expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support a dynamic surgical team. Your role is essential for ensuring safe, efficient operating room procedures and providing high-quality patient care throughout each surgical case. The ideal candidate is dedicated, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required Prior experience in an operating room setting or strong proficiency in circulating and scrub roles Thorough knowledge of sterile technique, surgical procedures, and surgical instrumentation Strong ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and adapt to changing circumstances in the OR Excellent communication and teamwork skills Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room with necessary equipment and sterile instruments before procedures Assist surgeons throughout operative procedures, passing instruments and supplies as needed Maintain a sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control protocols at all times Manage surgical specimens and maintain accurate count of sponges, instruments, and sharps Support safe patient positioning and assist with room turnover between cases Document related activities in patient records and equipment logs
