Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced ORT or Certified Surgical Technologist seeking a contract role in a dynamic surgical environment. This 13-week assignment will leverage your expertise to support a multidisciplinary operating room team in providing top-quality patient care.
Schedule/Hours:
10-hour day shifts, 6:45am-5:15pm Specific days will be discussed during the interview process
Qualifications:
Current BLS certification is required At least 2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist or Nursing - ORT Surgical Tech certification is essential Strong knowledge of sterile technique and safety procedures Ability to anticipate surgeon and procedure needs in fast-paced settings Effective communication skills and strong teamwork orientation
Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room and assist with surgical procedures, ensuring supplies and instruments are sterile and organized Serve as a vital member of the surgical team, anticipating needs and supporting surgical staff throughout each case Safely operate and handle surgical instruments and equipment Monitor all safety protocols and infection control standards rigorously Accurately account for instruments, sponges, and supplies throughout surgical procedures Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and OR staff to promote a smooth workflow and excellent patient outcomes
