Key Qualifications:

Current certification as a Surgical Technician (Certified Surgical Technologist, CST) Demonstrated experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) Strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control standards Ability to anticipate surgeon and team needs in high-pressure situations Effective communicator, adaptable and collaborative with OR staff BLS certification preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepare, organize, and maintain instruments and equipment needed for surgeries Assist surgical team before, during, and after procedures, including proper positioning of patients and draping Monitor and maintain sterile field throughout surgical procedures Count sponges, instruments, and sharps in accordance with established processes Support the implementation of safety policies and best practices for the care environment Ensure timely availability and arrangement of all surgical supplies and operating room materials Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia teams to optimize patient outcomes
