Job Description

Category Nursing•ORT Job Type Contract Skilled certified surgical technologists are sought for a specialized role supporting a busy operating room team. This contract position offers exposure to a diverse range of surgical cases and the opportunity to work within a professional and collaborative environment.
Schedule/Hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM•3:30 PM 24-40 hours per week, based on surgical volume No weekends or holidays required On-call responsibilities: 10-11 days/month, 3:30 PM•7:00 PM Monday through Friday Overtime available after 40 hours per week; no guaranteed hours
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists to facilitate efficient and safe surgical procedures Set up and maintain a sterile field for various cases, including ortho, general surgery, endoscopy, GYN, ENT, podiatry, urology, ophthalmology, and dental procedures Assist in preparing and passing instruments and supplies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness during operations Adhere to strict infection control and patient safety protocols throughout all phases of care Maintain, clean, and restock operating room equipment and supplies as required Respond promptly and reliably to on-call assignments Document interventions and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program Current CST certification required Active BLS certification Experience in an operating room setting with exposure to the listed service lines preferred Excellent attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to respond effectively in fast-paced environments Strong interpersonal and communication skills This contract offers hands-on experience in a dynamic surgical environment, working alongside experienced clinical professionals.
