Surgical Technician

Surgical Tech:

ASC in Linthicum, Maryland is seeking experienced Surgical Techs. Come be a part of our center!

Requirements:

Must be able to carry out aseptic technique and anticipate surgeon's needs. Knowledge of equipment and instruments needed to be prepared for cases is necessary. Must have the ability to interact with other members of the surgical team in a cooperative and supportive manner. Duties include, but not limited to: The Surgical Tech is required to prepare the sterile field and scrub for surgical procedures, assisting the surgeon and/or PA's as needed. Picking supplies and instruments and preparing the OR together with the circulating nurse. Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and sterilizing instruments as assigned. Maintains sterile technique in the OR during surgical procedures. Scrubs for surgical procedures as assigned. Specialties include general, GYN, Ortho, Spine and Pain Management. Assists with the cleaning of the operating room before and after surgical procedures. Initiates sponge and sharp counts as necessary Sterile processing experience preferred. Will cross train.
