Job Description:
Pride Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist to support our client's medical facility in Seattle, WA 98104. This is a 3+ month contract assignment (convertible to permanent based on your work performance). and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Specific Duties:
Position in this function is responsible for working with the surgical team to ensure that quality care is given to the patient. Works with team members in providing assistance to the Surgeon by being familiar with the surgical procedure, instruments, supplies and equipment. Consistently exhibits behavior and communication skills that demonstrate Optum's commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer Assists in the assessment, planning and implementation of care given to the surgical patient Demonstrates ability to use supplies, equipment and instruments appropriately Follows strict principles of aseptic technique both in procedures and in processing of equipment and instrumentation Demonstrates competence in assisting with surgical procedures Demonstrates knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures, regulatory agency requirements, quality improvement process, facility and departmental policies, procedures and protocols Demonstrates knowledge of Universal Precautions Participates in the identification and implementation of improvements in the delivery of quality care. Responds expediently and courteously to requests for help from patients and staff Uses judgment in seeking consultation from the circulating Nurse and other unit Nursing staff Maintains composure and initiates emergency care as appropriate according to ACLS guidelines Works with team members in the selection of supplies, instrumentation and equipment needed for patient care Uses, protects, and discloses Optum patients' protected health information (PHI) only in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Prior surgical tech experience preferred in orthopedics, general surgery, gyn, urology, ENT, Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technologists Current AHA
  • BLS Certification, current surgical tech registration in WA state Preferred Education.
Experience & Skills At least one year of experience as a Surgical Technologist Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding

Pay Range:
$30
  • 32/hr. on W2 without benefits #PHCUHGClinical $250
