This energetic position offers the opportunity to work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and sterile operative environments. Your expertise will directly contribute to positive patient outcomes and the smooth operation of surgical services. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all necessary surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, organized, and ready for use. Assist during surgeries by passing instruments, suturing, and handling specimens while maintaining strict aseptic techniques. Monitor patient vital signs and physiological responses throughout procedures to support patient stability and safety. Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms, documenting procedures meticulously. Support infection control protocols by adhering to sterilization procedures and maintaining a clean surgical environment. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I and Level II), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), ICU (Intensive Care Unit), and ambulatory surgery centers to facilitate seamless patient care. Assist with data collection related to surgical procedures, patient outcomes, and quality improvement initiatives. Experience Proven experience working as a Surgical Technologist in hospital settings or ambulatory surgery centers. Demonstrated proficiency with OR experience, including suturing, instrumentation handling, and aseptic techniques. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control practices essential for safe surgical assistance. Critical care experience in ICU or emergency medicine environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as SIS or similar platforms for managing medical records efficiently. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications in acute care or trauma support are advantageous. Join us to make a meaningful impact in surgical care delivery!
