Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting surgical procedures and patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. Professionals with experience in Operating Room Technology, both certified and non-certified surgical technologists, are encouraged to apply. This contract opportunity allows you to utilize your clinical skillset while gaining valuable experience in surgical services.
Key Qualifications:
Experience as a Surgical Technologist (certified or non-certified) or background in Nursing as an OR Tech Knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and instrument handling Ability to support the surgical team by preparing the operating room, maintaining sterile fields, and passing instruments Effective communication skills for collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and fellow surgical techs Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols Flexibility and adaptability in a busy, dynamic work setting
Schedule:
Contract-based assignment; schedule details provided during the interview process
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for each procedure Assist the surgical team during operations by anticipating needs and providing instruments Uphold strict aseptic techniques and infection control measures throughout procedures Manage surgical instruments and supplies, including decontamination and sterilization post-procedure Document information accurately and promptly, supporting patient care and surgical outcomes Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transport as required
