  • SUMMARY:
  • This position will be responsible for reconciliation of surplus lines transactions as well as handling deposits and AR reporting for two of our locations.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: + Facilitate agent/agency compliance with state surplus lines rules + Provide assistance toProducers and Account Managers - Tax rates, Affidavits, Home State designation + Submit required documents to states tofacilitatetimelyfilings + Creation and implementation ofstate filing process internally + Coordinate payment of tax and related fees + Assistin the development and maintenance of surplus lines processes and producers + Assistin reading and interpreting state surplus linesrelated toadministrative code + Reconciling surplus lines accounts + Running monthly AR reports andassists keeping the AR current + Administering return premiums for two of our locations
  • REQUIREMENTS
  • + Two years' work experience in the insurance industry-preferablywith surplus lines tax + Strong desireto learn and foster a community of compliance + Knowledge of insurance industry and risk manager + Knowledge of methods of compiling,organizingand analyzing data + Ability to understand and apply rules,regulations,policiesand procedures + Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities independently + Excellent communication, interpersonalskillsand positive attitude + Strong attention to detail •
EDUCATION, LICENSING OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • + High School Diploma or equivalent required + Bachelor's degree in business, Risk Management and Insurance, or Accounting preferred notrequired
