Professional Land Surveyor (PLS)

Full-Time A well-established surveying and engineering firm is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join its growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying standard surveying techniques in both field and office settings to plan, organize, and execute a wide range of land surveying projects. Key Responsibilities Receive and execute instructions on specific survey assignments, objectives, and complex project features Perform a variety of in-office and field tasks related to land surveying projects Operate surveying equipment including Total Stations, data collectors, GPS RTK, and static GPS systems Accurately calculate, record, and review field data Review project specifications and develop fieldwork methods and cost considerations Apply standard scientific and engineering principles, exercising professional judgment to adapt methods as needed in the field and office Download, review, and process field data Prepare clear and accurate field notes and sketches documenting existing site conditions Draft and edit surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D Prepare detailed daily job reports and communicate project status with supervisors on a regular basis Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot complex surveying instrumentation Perform additional duties as assigned Education & Qualifications Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license required in the State of Connecticut Minimum of 6+ years of progressive land surveying experience Strong knowledge of survey calculations, techniques, and procedures Demonstrated ability to use sound professional judgment and work independently Proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred) and survey-related software Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new technologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills Valid driver's license Get job alerts Share Copied to clipboard Related roles Water/ Wastewater Project Manager•Gresham, ORUSA USD 155000
