Job Description

About the Role & Company We are seeking Survey Data Technicians to work in support of large-scale infrastructure projects throughout the United States. This work typically requires the development and execution of custom data management systems. As our Survey/Data Technician, you will help administer, process, and coordinate project field survey data daily to provide our clients with the highest quality work product in a timely and efficient manner. This is a technical, office-based position supporting diverse field operations across the United States. Essential Responsibilities Evaluate that all field survey tasks have been completed in accordance with client and project requirements. Verify accuracy and completeness of field data against a strict quality assurance and quality control program. Report deficiencies immediately to project manager, field supervisor, and survey party chiefs to be resolved quickly. Support deed research, deed plotting, and preparation of plats and legal descriptions for right-of-way acquisition. Demonstrate Proficiency in developing surface models and working with survey data within AutoCAD Civil 3D. Perform all essential duties satisfactorily. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all work areas and digital files (Added for consistency). Physical Demands & Work Environment Candidates must be able to meet the following physical requirements: Frequent sitting for extended periods while performing data processing and CAD work (Revised from field roles). Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds (e.g., project files, plans) (Revised from field roles). Work is performed primarily indoors in a professional office environment with standard hours (Revised from field roles). Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for operating precision equipment (Standardized from field roles, applied to computer work). Qualifications & Requirements Proficiency required in: AutoCAD drafting, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Office applications.
Mandatory:
Valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required. Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and comprehensive background check, including a 7-year criminal history check. Ability and willingness to travel occasionally for training or project meetings. Why Join Us?
