Job Title:
Surveyor Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Surveyor to support a wide range of civil engineering and land development projects. This role is responsible for performing field surveys, collecting and analyzing data, and supporting engineering and design teams with accurate survey information. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, field experience, and a commitment to quality and safety. Responsibilities Perform field surveys and collect accurate data for civil engineering and land development projects. Analyze survey data to support engineering and design teams. Ensure the quality and accuracy of survey information. Read and interpret engineering plans, CAD drawings, and specifications. Utilize GPS, CAD, or survey processing software for survey tasks. Maintain strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions. Essential Skills Working knowledge of surveying principles, methods, and equipment. Proficiency in GPS and experience with CAD or survey processing software. Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, CAD drawings, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Valid driver's license. Additional Skills & Qualifications Associate's degree or certification in Surveying, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 1-5+ years of experience in land surveying or construction surveying (level dependent). Familiarity with local, state, and federal surveying standards. Prior experience supporting civil engineering or land development projects. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and Trimble. Work Environment This position involves both field project and office presence. Work will require outdoor activities in varying weather and site conditions. The role offers quarterly bonuses, vacation, and holiday pay while on contract. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shiremanstown, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
