As a Sushi Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our guests. Duties Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with precision and artistry. Ensure all ingredients are fresh and of high quality, adhering to food safety standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to create seasonal menus that reflect current trends in sushi cuisine. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following all health and safety regulations. Assist in catering events as needed, providing sushi options for special occasions. Stay updated on new cooking techniques and trends within the food industry to enhance menu offerings. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and best practices. Skills Strong knowledge of food safety practices within the kitchen environment. Experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings is preferred. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent knife skills and familiarity with various sushi-making tools and equipment. Previous experience in catering or dietary departments is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members. A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to continuously improve skills within the food service industry.
