Job Description

Overview Cold Springs Rancheria invites applications for the position of Program Coordinator for the Sustainable Agricultural Lands Conservation (SALC) Program. This position plays a critical role in advancing the Tribe's stewardship responsibilities by supporting the protection, conservation, and sustainable management of agricultural lands within the region. The Program Coordinator will lead the planning, implementation, and administration of grant-funded conservation initiatives in alignment with Tribal priorities, environmental sustainability goals, and community values.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of SALC program strategies, consistent with Tribal policies, grant requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations Administer and manage grant-funded projects, including work plan development, budgeting, reporting, and compliance with funding agency requirements Coordinate the identification, assessment, and prioritization of agricultural lands for conservation based on ecological integrity, cultural significance, economic viability, and community benefit Facilitate collaboration and consultation with Tribal leadership, including Tribal Council, as well as landowners, agricultural producers, government agencies, and partner organizations Promote sustainable agricultural practices and land stewardship approaches that reflect both contemporary conservation standards and Tribal environmental values Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics to ensure the successful and timely completion of program objectives Monitor, evaluate, and document program outcomes, including environmental, economic, and social impacts, and prepare reports for internal leadership and external funding entities Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to strengthen partnerships and leverage additional resources for conservation initiatives
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
