Swim Instructor ***Must be available Saturdays or Sundays****

Do you love working with kids and making a splash? Like a Fish is seeking a kind, energetic, and experienced Swim Instructor to join our team for the summer! This position is perfect for someone who's confident teaching private lessons , enjoys working independently, and has a passion for water safety and skill-building. Position Overview We are hiring a traveling swim instructor to teach private lessons throughout the OKC/Edmond area. Most students will be children ages 2 and up , but may include infants as young as 6 months. Instructors will travel to clients' home or neighborhood pools , create engaging lessons, and manage their own schedule. Some indoor lessons may be available. What You'll Do Teach private swim lessons and duo lessons (with the occasional group class) to children ages 6 months and up Travel to client locations for each lesson Create safe, fun, and effective lessons tailored to each swimmer's needs Communicate clearly with parents and guardians before and after lessons Manage your own weekly client schedule with professionalism and reliability Maintain up-to-date CPR certification and be willing to complete Red Cross Lifeguard training

What We're Looking For Experience:

At least 2 years swim instruction experience with young children (required)

CPR Certification:

Must have current certification (or be willing to obtain before starting)

Red Cross Certification:

Must be willing and able to complete the Red Cross Lifeguard certification.

Reliable Transportation:

Must have your own vehicle and be comfortable traveling for lessons

Strong Time Management:

Ability to build and maintain your own schedule

Kind and Energetic Personality:

You love kids, have patience, and can keep lessons upbeat and fun

Availability:

At least 3 consistent weekdays per week between May and August preferred. At least 1 weekend between May and August preferred.

Age:

Must be 18 years old or older.

Position Details Pay:

$30+/hour, paid weekly (W2 employee). Pay is based on the type of lesson taught.

Job Type:

Part-time, seasonal (Summer 2026). Could extend into Fall 2026 or turn into a year round position.
