Swiss Turning Setup Machinist

Program, set-up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain Swiss turning centers . Produce production parts to required tolerances and complete machine set-ups efficiently. • Interpret prints and specifications
• Create programs for parts for swiss turning centers with Citizen & FANUC controls.
• Create setup sheets for programs and provide some technical support to manufacturing personnel.
• Assist in preparing bills of material, engineering change orders, and other documentation.
• Perform complex set-ups on swiss turning centers as required.
• Maintain close tolerances on precise parts.
• Inspect and record results to ensure product is within specification.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area. Qualifications
• Be able to communicate effectively.
• Be able to understand and follow standards, protocols, and procedures without excessive instruction.
• Must be detail-oriented.
• Be able to cooperate with all co-workers and staff.
• Be mechanically inclined.
• Be able to work overtime on Fridays as needed.
• Under limited supervision, must be able to do first-time-run-through of your programs ensure proper documentation and setup information for repeat runs.
• Experience with common measurement tools (Micrometers, calipers, vision systems)
• Experience with machining centers with Fanuc controls.

Language English Education High School or Equivalent Experience Swiss Turning:

5 years (Required)

Pay:

$32.00 - $40.00 per hour
