Job Description

System Administrator- Wooster, OH (On-site) We are looking for someone to fill a System Administrator position and join our dynamic team! We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Administrator with a strong background in the administration of Windows servers, Active Directory services, Office 365, and fundamental networking knowledge. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing IT infrastructures, ensuring system stability, security, and optimal performance. Additionally, familiarity with backup and recovery solutions using Veeam and a basic understanding of TCP/IP protocols are essential for success in this role. Typical responsibilities of the job include:
Windows Server Administration:
Manage and maintain Windows server environments, in AWS and on premise, including installation, configuration, and ongoing support. Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement necessary optimizations. Ensure server security through regular updates, patch management, and adherence to best practices.
Active Directory Services:
Administer Active Directory services, including user and group management, permissions, and policies. Implement and maintain directory structures, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and domain controllers. Troubleshoot Active Directory-related problems and provide timely resolutions. Office 365
Administration:
Oversee Office 365 tenant administration, including user management, licensing, and application configurations. Manage Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and other Office 365 services. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement Office 365 features and functionality to meet organizational needs.
Network Knowledge:
Possess foundational knowledge of networking principles, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing. Assist in the configuration and troubleshooting of network devices, such as (Meraki) switches, routers, and firewalls. Work closely with network engineers to ensure seamless network connectivity and performance.
Backup and Recovery:
Deploy and maintain backup solutions, particularly Veeam Backup & Replication, for data protection and disaster recovery. Monitor backup jobs, perform regular backups, and verify data integrity. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in IT administration, specifically in managing Windows servers, Active Directory, and Office 365. Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and routing. Proficiency in backup and recovery solutions, preferably with Veeam Backup & Replication. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Relevant certifications (e.g.,
Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus. Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory and CISCO/Meraki Products Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift equipment Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
