This role works cross‑functionally with production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and support new product introductions. Required Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or processing engineering role Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process controls, and root cause analysis Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement tools Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); advanced Excel skills required Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including scenario testing and impact analysis Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences Strong networking ability across internal teams, customer organizations, and external vendors Highly adaptable with strong time management and multitasking capabilities Preferred Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience working with automated warehouse systems, or operational experience in a similar environment. Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Familiarity with process validation, SPC, and DOE Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Experience with ERP or MES systems Working Conditions Manufacturing floor and office environment Ability to stand, walk, and observe production processes for extended periods Travel will be required for training (3-4 months) Ability to climb vertical ladders and work at heights up to 100 feet (30 meters) with training and PPE, such as fall protection harness Ability to work in temperature conditions ranging from 55°F to -15°F (13°C to -26°C), (PPE provided)
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, yield, and productivity Analyze existing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and opportunities for improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies Create and maintain process documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) Support new product introductions (NPI), including process validation, equipment selection, and pilot builds Troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to processes, materials, equipment, and tooling Collaborate with Quality Engineering to investigate nonconformances and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) Provide technical support and training to production teams on new or revised processes Work with Maintenance and Engineering teams on equipment upgrades, preventive maintenance strategies, and automation initiatives Collect, analyze, and report process data to drive evidence‑based decision making and continuous improvement Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements, and applicable regulatory or safety guidelines Participate in cost reduction initiatives and support capacity planning efforts Other duties as assigned
Pay:
$31.00 - $37.00 per hour

How many years of experience do you have working in manufacturing process improvement, systems, or engineering roles?
