Job Description

Description Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. We are seeking an experienced System Development Engineer to join the Amazon LEO team. You will be responsible for development of platform and automation framework/tools to empower the test of system health across a constellation of over 3000 satellites.
Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Key job responsibilities Key job responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers across the organization to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and operate critical software for LEO.
  • Develop code, build CI/CD pipelines, test automation, and dashboards for monitoring health of systems and data pipelines..
  • Work on initiatives building automations on LEO Test platform and infrastructure and help implement best practices for software development. Basic Qualifications
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems, or experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, macros, SQL, visualization tools
  • Tableau, Quicksight, etc. Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of systems development experience
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience in system design
  • Knowledge of data analysis languages (e.

Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
